The Role

After scaling from the thousands to the hundreds of millions of dollars of payment volumes in the last year, we are looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive cross-team collaboration between our operations, data & analytics, engineering, and product functions. You love project management -- with internal or external teams -- and bring a perspective across product, user, engineering, and business considerations. You’re as comfortable leading a meeting as you are delving into the details of API documentation. You are excited to deliver major product and partnership initiatives such as automating compliance processes, leading 3rd party technical integrations, and deploying new payment methods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-priority cross-functional projects -- you’ll chaperone critical initiatives that range across the team! -- from aligning new compliance policies with product behavior to optimizing payment acceptance rates to adapting anti-fraud tactics for new geographies. You’ll be critical to collaboration between teams, particularly in breaking down technical complexity for non-technical partners
  • Project manage (and, if necessary, spec) integrations with new partners and vendors -- whether for fighting fraud, speeding up accounting processes, or adding new recipient countries, you’ll work with external vendors and partners to add critical functionality to our product and internal systems
  • Define and automate back office processes -- you’ll help the Finance and Compliance teams streamline and optimize their workflows and act as a ‘bridge’ to clarify back office requirements to technical teams
  • Conduct ad hoc business analysis -- in partnership with our Analytics and Product teams, you’ll execute analysis using SQL, Microsoft Excel, and other tools to help inform key decisions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical product/program management experience, ideally at a startup or technology-driven company
  • Experience working with technical / engineering teams
  • Familiarity with SQL and strong Excel skills
  • ‘No task too small’ mentality and willingness to delve into gritty details to get things done
  • Experience building strong relationships with internal / external partners as well as executive leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver process improvements and projects across teams and functions, especially with ambiguity
  • Interest in consumer financial products and services; experience with payments and payment processing preferred
  • Right to work in the US, UK, or Belgium
