Taptap Send is an app that lets immigrants send money back home to Africa instantly at very low cost. Since launching in the summer of 2018, we’ve already moved tens of millions of dollars and reached tens of thousands of customers. We’re live in seven European countries and support payments into Senegal, Ghana, Mali, Zambia and the Ivory Coast - with more countries launching soon.

Global remittances account for over $500 billion annually, most of which moves back into developing countries. The industry is currently dominated by traditional services that are expensive, slow, and limited in rural areas. We allow people to send money instantly and securely at a fraction of the cost. In doing so, we are working on making the UN Sustainable Development Goal of bringing cross-border remittance costs down to 3% by 2030 a reality today.

Taptap Send was recently spun out of Segovia, a venture-backed startup focused on making it easy to send payments in emerging markets. Your Role

In this role, you will work across all aspects of a fast-growing start-up. You will monitor pay-out corridors and work with engineering and our partners to investigate potential issues. The role could see you travel to work on launching a new pay-out corridor, manage vendor and partner relationships or help company leadership with a variety of day-to-day tasks.

You don’t hesitate to place a call to ensure important issues get resolved promptly or leave your comfort zone for a negotiation or research.   • Ensure that Taptap Send’s day-to-day operations are smooth
  • Assist with maintenance of payments corridors - troubleshooting issues and proactively reaching out to providers
  • Manage integration of new payment partners in collaboration with engineering, product, marketing and customer service, ensuring a smooth roll-out of the corridor
  • Assist with the development of new partnerships
  • Lead recruitment, working closely with hiring managers across all functions 
  • Work on a variety of day-to-day operational tasks as they arise


  • >1 year of experience in a top tier professional services firm or in a payments or operations role in a dynamic organisation
  • Great organizational skills, able to manage multiple deliverables in a fast pace environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • French, Arabic and Spanish are a plus
